I would prefer to see this words on the webpage with the samples, or
an accompanying readme file. Anyway, do you think this mail can be
sufficient for us to consider the samples as free?
Sometimes an email response is used to clarify vague licenses. If you
have a Debian system installed, take a look at this file:
/usr/share/doc/makedev/copyright
And also cdrecord, libldap2, cron, fbset...
I wonder if the reply from Lawrence can be used as a valid license for
our purposes. ???
